Oakville Masters Swim Club Membership Types
- Active Members are those who are currently swimming with the club. These members may sign up to swim in the same time slots from session to session and will pay the $15 mandatory annual MSO fee.
- New Members are swimmers who have been invited to sign up for a regular swim time. In addition to their swim times they will be charged a $50 initiation fee and the $15 mandatory annual MSO fee. If you would like to join us, please contact Mette.
- Inactive Members are swimmers who did not rejoin in the regular session. If a swimmer is inactive for more then 5 years, they will be charged the $50 initiation fee to rejoin the club. If an inactive member would like to sign up for an upcoming season, they must contact Mette for availability.
- Guest/Trial Swimmers are swimmers who have contacted our Head Coach Mette and have been assigned a specific date and time to swim. Guest/Trial Swimmers must sign our waivers prior to hopping in the water.
Fees & Waivers
Active Members of OMSC must pay an annual mandatory $15 registration fee and this will be automatically added to your account at the beginning of each season. This fee goes to Masters Swimming Ontario (MSO) which provides OMSC with club insurance. MSO registrations remain valid for the entire season which runs from September 1st to August 31st. As a part of this registration all members, guests or trial swimmers are required to sign waivers once per season prior to their first swim.
All swimmers under 26 years of age must review Rowan's Law which contains concussion information compiled by the Ontario Government and then sign a document to verify that this task has been done. Swimmers under 26 years of age must sign and return the document to the club by email to Oakvillemasters.ca@gmail.com before they can swim. It is great information for everyone to review. All of our coaches have reviewed the information and all swimmers in the club are welcome, and encouraged, to also read through it.
